Examinations will be held Thursday 6 March to Thursday 12 March 2026. Check the Examination Timetable for the date and time of your exams, available here (PDF, 155.5 KB).
All candidates are required to sit their exams in person at an LPAB examination centre. You can view a list of exam centres with location information here. (PDF, 197.0 KB)
Country University Centres (CUC) are available to students whose registered address is closest to the centre they wish to attend. Before submitting your request, make sure your address in STEMS is up to date.
To request a change in your exam venue, log in to your STEMS account, go to your Home Page, click Miscellaneous, and choose Examination Venue Change from the drop-down menu and follow the prompts.
The final day to make any changes to your examination venue is 16 January 2026.
At the beginning of each term, LPAB examiners determine whether each subject will be assessed as open or closed book. A list specifying the exam format for each subject in Semester 1, 2025-2026 (Summer) can be found here (PDF, 162.4 KB).
Candidates at LPAB examination centres will be able to choose to handwrite their exam or type their exam on their own device.

Online exams in the LPAB's Diploma in Law Course are only available in exceptional circumstances and application should be made immediately after enrolment. Please refer to the Online Examinations by Exception Policy for more information.

These rules outline the standards of conduct expected during examinations and form part of the conditions for participation in the Legal Profession Admission Board’s Diploma in Law program.
