Diploma in Law Course

The LPAB’s Diploma in Law provides a flexible, accredited pathway to legal practice in New South Wales.

Register as a Student-at-Law  

If you wish to register as a new student in the Diploma-in-Law you must register as a Student-at-Law by no later than 1 March or 1 September each year to be eligible to enrol in the following term.   

Late registration as a student-at-law may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.  No guarantee can be given that a late registered student will be able to enrol in the current semester.  Late fees apply to late registration and a final deadline will be advised for each semester.

Summer 2025-2026

Student registration applications for the Summer 2025-26 semester are now CLOSED. 

Any applications submitted past the final late registration date of 16 October 2025 will not be assessed for the Summer 2025-2026 semester. 

Winter 2026

If you wish to register for the Winter 2026 semester please wait to register as a student until after 1 December 2025 to submit your application. 

If you submit an application before this you will be charged a late fee which is not refundable


Subject Enrolment

You must be registered and accepted as a student-at-law before you can enrol.

Enrolments and payments are completed via your STEMS Student Portal

Enrolments will not be accepted after the late enrolment period ends. Exceptions will be granted if a documented system issues prevented you from enrolling on time. 

Summer 2025-2026

Enrolments the Summer 2025-26 semester are CLOSED. 

Winter 2026

The enrolment period for the Winter 2026 semester is expected to open on 25 April 2026 and remain open until 1 May 2026 for registered students-at-law. 

Late enrolments may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, and generally no later than 8 May 2026.  Late fees apply to late enrolments.
